Take the Roca Inmovible Survey, Proud to be a part of CLAS!
Wednesday May 7, 2008
Today, we launch a three month survey open to all. Through the past 5 months, we have heard from countless people which songs have become favorites from Vivire Solo Para Ti. "Vivire Solo Para Ti" and "Tomastes Mi Lugar" became favorites in certain areas while "Madre" and "Cristo Viene Pronto" became favorites in others. However, we would like to know which songs have became favorites overall. That is where we need your help. To take the survey, click on the link provided: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=wgExOmFhYbCkN0y4B2tbpg_3d_3d.
Also, the 4th annual culto Pro Beca has been set. On June 14, 2008, Roca Inmovible will be performing at this event in our home church. Not only are we featured in this event but it also features the C.L.A.S (Christian Latinos Achieving Success) program. C.L.A.S is a scholarship program created to help Christian High School Seniors who plan to continue there education once they graduate. This is a great program and to support it, we have place an online donation box on our donation page, as well as more information to help this program.

After a year of hibernation with the videos section of Roca Inmovible, we finally released two new videos. The first video is of RI member Rafael Davila, Jr. performing his rendition of "Merecedor de Alabanza." The second video is Roca Inmovible getting the church involved with "Tengo Hambre de Ti." Both of these videos were taken earlier this year. They are now available on Youtube, Veoh, and Google Videos.
As a side note, this year we will be spending more time on videos than previous years. We are also going to release several videos from our archive.

A New Year, A New Beginning, A New Release
Wednesday January 2, 2008
As the new year starts, we have a couple of things to announce. First off, our new website is no longer a Beta version but the official version of Roca Inmovible. That is due to December 2007 being as a test period for the site, so we were able to fix any problems that may have been with the original release.
The first biggest news of this year is actually preceding several years of hard work. I, Ellison Tavico, have been giving clues about this for several months, both on our website and in our email newsletters. The answer to these clues comes this month as Roca Inmovible releases their newest album, "Vivire Solo Para Ti." December 28, 2007 was the date that we release it to our church and people in our area. However, the online release will hopefully be will be in late January 2008 to middle February 2008. This is big news, considering there are people who been waiting for this since our concert in August 2005 when we first announced it. We will keep updating this blog when news or changes becomes available. Looks like January might have multiple entries.

Updates Before Finalizing
Sunday December 16, 2007
Since this is our new page format, we expected to have a few problems. That seems to be true. To deal with the problems, we decided that this month will get two updates. We don't usually do this but then again, that is why the new format are labeled Beta.

Saturday December 1, 2007
First and foremost, we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday to all our visitors.
Now on to the bigger news from Roca Inmovible. As you can see, we upgraded our entire website. It now has a new look, as well as a better navigation. Other features of the new site includes, a bigger photo gallery with several never before released photos, The addition of Joseph Santiago to our biography page, and of course a better homepage. This new page is considered a beta for this month. A beta is a test version of the final copy, which means that during this month, we will add or drop some features before January 2008. We hope you enjoy the new site and God Bless.

Big Changes on the Horizon!
Thursday November 1, 2007
As you may have noticed, Roca Inmovible did not update for October 2007. We have been very busy during this month so we were unable to update any of the pages. The reason being is that we will be updating our entire website for the December 2007 edition. This time, it is official. To do the update, Roca Inmovible's website will be offline on November 30, 2007 for the entire day. Sorry in advance if this causes any inconvenience.

Aiding Those in Need; Delayed Once Again...
Tuesday September 4, 2007
I have search throughout the internet and found only one organization to help those in Mexico and Jamaica. We all are familiar with the Red Cross. They have made a special link to support victims of the Hurricane Dean. You can click on the link provided to help support those affected.
Red Cross
Also, I will delay the update once again. This time will be different, though. Usually, I try to have an exact date such as a one or two month delay. Instead, I will not give an exact date. All I am going to say is that it will be sometime before the end of the year.

Jamaica and Mexico in Our Prayers!
Monday August 20, 2007
Hurricane Dean has just finished devastating the island of Jamaica and is now on it's way to Mexico. It has always been a powerful storm, just missing the southern tip of Jamaica by several miles as a Category 4. It has now strengthened to a Category 5 and is predicted to hit the Yucatan Peninsula sometime Tuesday Morning, a place that is still rebuilding from last year's hurricane season.
We, Roca Inmovible, will keep those affected by Hurricane Dean in our thoughts and prayers for their safety and well being. We will also update our site to provide you ways to help those affected by this hurricane. Dios le Bendiga! (God Bless!)
